Omega Loop

An omega loop has been defined as a continous segment of polypeptide chain that adopts a 'loop-shaped' conformation in three-dimensional space, with a small distance between its segment termini. The main chain of an idealized loop has the appearance of a Greek letter omega (hence the term 'omega loop').
